Terms of Use
Introduction
Welcome to Courtiere. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of our website, learning platform, course materials, community spaces, and related services. By accessing, purchasing, enrolling in, or using any Courtiere product or service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these terms, you should not access or use our services.
Courtiere provides educational content, learning resources, support, and community access designed to help individuals prepare for professional qualifications and careers within the mortgage and financial services industry.
Access to Services
When you purchase a Courtiere product, you are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access the learning materials included within your purchase. Access is provided solely for your individual educational use and may not be shared, transferred, resold, distributed, reproduced, recorded, published, or otherwise made available to any third party.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation, you should contact our support team immediately.
Courtiere reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate access to any account where we reasonably believe unauthorised sharing, misuse, fraudulent activity, abuse of services, or breaches of these Terms of Use have occurred.
Educational Content
Courtiere aims to provide accurate, relevant, and up-to-date educational content. However, we do not guarantee that all information will always be complete, current, or free from error.
Our courses are intended as educational resources only and should not be interpreted as regulated financial, mortgage, legal, tax, investment, employment, or professional advice. Learners remain responsible for verifying information independently and ensuring they meet any qualification, regulatory, or professional requirements relevant to their circumstances.
While our goal is to help learners succeed, we cannot guarantee examination results, qualification outcomes, employment opportunities, income levels, career progression, professional status, or business success.
Course Content and Platform Changes
Courtiere is committed to continuously improving the quality of its learning experience. To ensure our courses remain accurate, relevant, and effective, we reserve the right to update, improve, modify, replace, reorganise, or remove course content, learning resources, assessments, study materials, community features, platform functionality, and other aspects of our services at any time and without prior notice.
Such changes may be made to reflect updates to qualification standards, industry developments, regulatory changes, learner feedback, technological improvements, or enhancements to the overall learning experience.
While we will endeavour to minimise disruption wherever reasonably possible, Courtiere shall not be liable for any loss, inconvenience, or dissatisfaction arising from changes made to course content, platform features, or service delivery.
Independent Training Provider
Courtiere is an independent learning provider and is not owned, operated, endorsed, approved, sponsored, or affiliated with LIBF, Walbrook Institute London, or any other examination body, awarding organisation, training provider, educational institution, mortgage network, lender, professional association, or third-party organisation unless expressly stated otherwise.
References to CeMAP, qualification content, examination structures, learning outcomes, industry standards, or regulatory requirements are provided solely for educational purposes and to support learners preparing for professional qualifications.
The purchase of a Courtiere course provides access only to the learning materials, resources, support services, and platform features included within the selected product. Examination fees, registration fees, certification fees, membership fees, and any other charges imposed by LIBF (Walbrook Institute London) or other third-party organisations are not included within the purchase price unless expressly stated.
Learners are solely responsible for registering for examinations, paying any applicable examination fees, meeting qualification requirements, and complying with the policies and procedures of the relevant awarding body.
Courtiere makes no representation that enrolment in its courses creates any contractual relationship between the learner and LIBF (Walbrook Institute London) or any other third-party organisation.
All trademarks, qualification names, product names, company names, logos, service marks, and brand names referenced on the Courtiere website remain the property of their respective owners. Any reference to such names does not imply ownership, endorsement, sponsorship, approval, partnership, or affiliation unless expressly stated.
Community Standards
Courtiere may provide access to community platforms, discussion groups, support channels, and collaborative learning environments, including Slack and other communication tools.
We expect all members of the Courtiere community to behave respectfully and professionally. Harassment, abusive behaviour, discrimination, intimidation, spam, misleading information, unlawful activity, offensive content, or behaviour that negatively impacts other learners will not be tolerated.
Courtiere reserves the right to remove content, restrict access, suspend accounts, or permanently remove users from community spaces where we believe behaviour falls below acceptable standards.
Intellectual Property
All content provided by Courtiere, including but not limited to course materials, videos, audio recordings, learning resources, assessments, quizzes, study guides, written content, branding, graphics, logos, website content, community resources, and platform materials, remains the intellectual property of Courtiere unless otherwise stated.
You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, publish, transmit, upload, record, modify, sell, licence, share, create derivative works from, or otherwise exploit any Courtiere content without our prior written consent.
Any unauthorised use of our intellectual property may result in immediate termination of access, legal action, and claims for damages where appropriate.
Payments and Billing
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Courtiere does not store or have access to your full payment card information.
By purchasing a product, you agree to provide accurate billing information and authorise payment for the selected product or service. Access to purchased content may be delayed, restricted, or suspended where payments are unsuccessful, disputed, reversed, refunded, or subject to chargeback proceedings.
Where a chargeback is initiated without first attempting to resolve the matter directly with Courtiere, we reserve the right to suspend account access while the matter is investigated.
Satisfaction Guarantee and Refunds
Courtiere offers a 14-Day Satisfaction Guarantee designed to give learners confidence when enrolling.
Eligibility for refunds is governed by our Refund Policy and Satisfaction Guarantee. To qualify, refund requests must be submitted in writing within 14 calendar days of purchase and less than 50% of the purchased learning content must have been accessed or completed.
Where a refund is approved, access to all Courtiere learning materials, learner communities, support resources, and associated services will be withdrawn.
Courtiere reserves the right to refuse refund requests that fall outside the eligibility requirements detailed within the Refund Policy.
Third-Party Services
Certain aspects of the Courtiere experience rely on third-party service providers, including but not limited to Stripe, 360Learning, Zapier, Slack, website hosting providers, analytics providers, and communication platforms.
While we carefully select our providers, Courtiere is not responsible for the availability, functionality, security, policies, terms, or actions of third-party platforms. Your use of these services may also be subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
Availability of Services
We aim to provide uninterrupted access to our services wherever reasonably possible. However, we cannot guarantee continuous availability and may occasionally suspend access due to maintenance, updates, technical issues, security concerns, third-party provider outages, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Courtiere shall not be liable for any losses arising from temporary interruptions to service availability.
Privacy and Data Protection
Courtiere is committed to protecting your personal information and processing personal data in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation.
Information regarding how we collect, use, store, protect, and process personal information is set out within our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms of Use.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Courtiere shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or economic losses arising from the use of our website, courses, learning materials, community spaces, or services.
Our total liability in connection with any claim relating to a purchase shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the relevant product or service.
Nothing within these Terms of Use excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.
Changes to These Terms
Courtiere may update these Terms of Use from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal obligations, business operations, or customer requirements.
Updated versions will be published on our website and will become effective immediately upon publication. Continued use of our services following any updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing Law
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms of Use or the use of Courtiere services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
